Understanding User Configurations
User configurations allow to determine the access to ACTITO applications. It is not a question of data but only of users rights.
This allow to restrict the tasks and actions that users can make in a licence. It is even possible to restrict the access to specific steps of an application.
Good to know
Users configurations are separate from entities. Let’s take a user who has the right to carry out the action “edit draft e-mails.” They have the right to edit any e-mail that they can access, independently from their entity.
But if they have access to entity A but not to entity B, they will view every e-mail stored on entity A and will therefore be able to edit them, but they will not view the e-mails stored an entity B, so they will not be able to edit them.
There are 3 default users configurations available:
Basic Configurations
AdminUser
This configuration is reserved for licence administrators. It implies access to every application included in your licence in order to use ACTITO as marketing automation tool, as well as an application which allows to create users and to manage existing users.
User
This is the default configuration for every user of the licence. It implies access to every application included in your licence in order to use ACTITO as marketing automation tool, but not to the user management application.
ActitoSupport
This configuration allows to access every application, except those used to export data. It allows ACTITO’s internal teams to access your licence if necessary, all while complying with GDPR.
See the section dedicated to the ActitoSupport account for more information.
Custom Configurations
In addition to these basic configurations, the licence administrator can request the creation of one or more “Restricted user” configurations.
Restricted user
A “restricted user” can be created if the licence administrator wishes to restrict the access to specific applications from their licence-using employees. In this case, the user with a “restricted user” configuration type will only see the applications to which they have access.
It is also possible to restrict specific actions within one application.
To request the creation of a new user configuration user, the licence administrator can contact their CSM or the ACTITO support (support@actito.com).
A restricted user configuration can be applied to multiple users.
Some possible uses
A “database manager” could have the rights necessary to manage and import profile data, but no rights regarding communication campaigns, in which they do not take part.
A “campaign designer” could have rights on every communication channel to be able to design e-mails and forms, but not to handle profile data for privacy reasons.
A “data analyst” could have only access to reporting and statistics, but not the rest of applications which are not relevant to them.
